In 2001, The Ortho Practice was born. After a number of years, Dr Baisi acquired the business and set about developing it further as a practice of excellence and distinction. The Ortho Practice continues today enjoying great results for all patients with Dr Baisi’s expertise and energetic and fun personality.

As well as operating this highly regarded private practice, Dr Baisi’s devotion to his profession has led him to hold a variety of teaching positions at the University of Sydney. Over the years, he has lectured and tutored at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, maintaining his educator role today as Appointed Lecturer (part-time) Discipline of Orthodontics.

Dr Baisi is also an active member of the greater orthodontic community, holding many titles including a number of years as President of the Australian Society of Orthodontists, NSW Branch. He is now the Treasurer of the Australasian Orthodontic Board and Treasurer Elect of the Australian Society of Orthodontists (National).

Being drawn into the aesthetic concepts behind orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, Andrew pursued his interest further with the specialist training at the University of Sydney and received his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics.

Upon graduation, Andrew decided to continue living in Australia due to its seasonal climate, beautiful scenery and laid-back lifestyle.

Andrew is currently a member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists and the Australian Orthodontic Board. Andrew is effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese.

In his free time, he volunteers weekly at a nursing home in Surry Hills and likes to keep active in the gym.

After graduating James was always keen to pursue further studies in orthodontics and has completed additional training in Invisalign and braces, finishing the University of Sydney long course in 2019.

Outside of work, James loves being outdoors with his three young children.
