{"id":38,"date":"2015-11-04T07:40:26","date_gmt":"2015-11-04T07:40:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/theorthopractice.com.au\/blog\/?p=38"},"modified":"2016-08-16T01:41:27","modified_gmt":"2016-08-16T01:41:27","slug":"herbed-polenta-fries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theorthopractice.com.au\/blog\/herbed-polenta-fries\/","title":{"rendered":"Herbed polenta fries"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>1 cup instant polenta<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon chopped rosemary leaves<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon oregano leaves<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon thyme leaves<\/li>\n<li>Olive oil, for brushing<\/li>\n<li>2 \u00bd cups chicken stock<\/li>\n<li>30g butter, chopped<\/li>\n<li>Sea salt and cracked black pepper<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc cup parmesan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Step 1.<\/strong> Place stock in a large saucepan over medium heat and bring to the boil, gradually whisk the polenta into the stock whilst it is boiling. Cook, stirring for 2-3 minutes or until thickened.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2.<\/strong> Remove from heat and add parmesan, butter, thyme, oregano, rosemary salt and pepper, stir to combine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3.<\/strong> Spoon into a lightly greased baking tray and spread 1cm thick. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until set.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4.<\/strong> Preheat oven to 220 degrees. Cut the polenta into 2cm x 10cm fingers and brush with oil. Place on a lightly greased baking tray and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and crisp.
