Dr Theodor Baisi

Theo completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Master of Dental Science (Orthodontics) from the University of Sydney and worked with the highly respected doctors, Dr J F Reading and Dr D J Bradley. After a number of years, Theo acquired the business and set about developing it further as a practice of excellence and distinction.
In 2001, The Ortho Practice was born and it continues today with Theo enjoying great results for all patients with his energetic and fun personality. As well as operating this highly regarded private practice, Theo’s devotion to his profession has led him to hold a variety of teaching positions at the University of Sydney. Over the years he has lectured and tutored at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, maintaining his educator role today as Appointed Lecturer (part-time) Discipline of Orthodontics.
Theo is also an active member of the greater orthodontic community, holding many titles including a number of years as President of the Australian Society of Orthodontists, NSW Branch. He is now the Treasurer of the Australasian Orthodontic Board and Treasurer Elect of the Australian Society of Orthodontists (National).
Dr Gustavo Vivaldi
Dr Vivaldi completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2001 and his Masters in Orthodontics in 2004, both in renowned institutions in Brazil. He opened his private practice in 2001 and operated it successfully until 2013 when he moved to Australia with his family. Dr Vivaldi was delighted to recently be granted his dental registration in Australia and is in the process of pursuing his Australian orthodontic registration.
Since qualifying as an doctor in Brazil, Dr Vivaldi has undertaken further Post-Graduate studies, which include a Mini-Residency in Orthodontics at the University of Michigan, as well as a residency in Dental Implantology. He has over 12 years of orthodontic experience. In addition to practicing orthodontics, he has spent the last 8 years treating patients with complex Invisalign® cases, achieving a prominent position within the Invisalign® community in Brazil where he has become an Invisalign® presenter, including undertaking a position as a visiting teacher at the State University of Maringá in the Masters of Orthodontics program. In 2012, Dr Vivaldi was invited to visit the primary Invisalign® facility in Costa Rica, and shortly after that he founded the first study group in South America in this field. Dr Vivaldi holds the following memberships: World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO), American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), Brazilian Association of Orthodontists (ABO) and Australian Dental Association (ADA).
Dr Vivaldi is a proud father of two beautiful children and enjoys exercising, dining and wine.
Dr Jasprit Nirmal Singh
BDS (Mal), Dip. Dent. Clin. Sci. (Lond), MFDSRCS (Edin), MSc Orth. (Lond), MOrthRCS (Eng)
Dr Nirmal Singh completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Malaya in 2002. She served the Malaysian Ministry of Health in Malaysian Borneo as a General Dentist for 3.5 years. She then decided to continue her studies and went on to achieve a distinction in the Postgraduate Diploma in Dental Clinical Sciences at the University of London in 2006. She was also awarded Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in that same year.
Following this, Dr Nirmal Singh pursued her love of orthodontics and spent 3 years at the Eastman Dental Institute (University of London) to specialise in this area. Through her academic and clinical activities, she gained her MSc in Orthodontics in 2008 and Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2009. During her time in London she also won awards such as the first prize for Functional Appliances Study Day Quiz in 2007 and Best Clinical Pearl at the Training Grades Group Meeting of the British Orthodontic Society in 2009.
Dr Nirmal Singh is now embarking on a part-time Masters in Lingual Orthodontics at the University of Hannover in Germany.
Dr Nirmal Singh is a member of the Australian Dental Association, Australasian Society of Lingual Orthodontics, British Orthodontic Society, British Lingual Orthodontic Society, European Orthodontic Society, Malaysian Association of Orthodontists and the Malaysian Dental Association. When she is not working as an orthodontist, she enjoys running and practising yoga.
