I started with the ortho practice in December 2008 as a junior laboratory and clinical assistant. I’m responsible for cleaning, sterilising, bending linguals and making models and I also assist the orthodontists and our hygienists in the clinic.
This is my first full-time job since finishing my HSC in 2008, and I’m planning to do my dental assisting course later this year. When people ask me if I like working at the ortho practice I tell them I love it – the work, my colleagues, the doctors and our patients are all great – it’s the best first job I could have ever hoped for.

I hold diplomas in health science and business management, and before starting with the ortho practice in 2006 I was a massage therapist for seven years (and before you ask, yes, there’s usually a queue of hopeful colleagues hoping for a bit of a shoulder rub during the day!).
In my role as a senior receptionist I am responsible for banking and accounts, and I am also the school liaison manager, organising talks and book donations for local primary schools.
I really enjoy working at the ortho practice – we have a great team environment and we seem to always be celebrating one thing or another!
When I’m not having fun at work I like to have fun snowboarding with my husband, supporting the South Sydney Rabbitohs and having dinner parties with friends.

I came to the ortho practice in May 2008 as a receptionist, and with my Certificate III in Dental Assisting and more than ten years experience, I also lend a hand in the clinic from time to time.
the ortho practice is not your everyday orthodontic practice! We have such a great environment and a lot of fun. When I’m not at work I’m a pretty relaxed girl – I love running, dinner and drinks with friends, and just chilling out at home.

I started here as a senior clinical assistant in January 2008 and I’m responsible for taking x-rays, stocktake and ordering, pouring up models, sterilisation and maintaining the day-to-day flow of the clinic … as well as patient care and education.
I hold a Certificate III in Dental Assisting, a Certificate IV in Radiography and I’m currently studying for my Certificate IV in Oral Health Promotion.
The best part about working at the ortho practice is that I’m encouraged to learn, study, work hard and have fun in a state-of-the art, dynamic practice (it really is very cool!).
In my spare time I love swimming, travelling and spending time with my fiancé.

I’m a senior clinical assistant and I’ve been at the ortho practice since 2005. You’ll often find me chair-side in the clinic assisting our orthodontists and hygienists. I am also responsible for all of the clinic ordering and for maintaining our equipment – and I often pitch in to help with scanning patient photographs and x-rays.
We’re all great friends here, so although we work hard we have a wonderful time together. When I’m not at work you’ll usually find me hanging out with friends and family, listening to music and going to festivals.

I’ve been with the ortho practice since 2006. I work in administration and am primarily responsible for documenting client treatment plans for our orthodontists, updating and maintaining schedules & information sheets, and I am the ortho practice’s official proofreader! I hold a London Chamber of Commerce private secretaries’ certificate (honours) with over 25 years experience in administrative roles.
I love the flexibility and social aspects of my job – I can work around school hours, which gives me plenty of time for my family, and I enjoy seeing many of our patients who are families from my local community. The work here is interesting and rewarding, and although it’s a fun place to work, the level of professionalism is exceptionally high.
Aside from work I love spending time with my husband and three daughters, going to the beach, dining out, reading great books, drinking good wine and listening to music!

I started with the ortho practice in July 2001 as practice manager. Managing our fantastic team of orthodontists and support staff is a demanding and rewarding role that brings different challenges every day.
Our philosophy is that our patients deserve the highest levels of care and commitment, and maintaining our exceptionally high standards is our top priority.
We are committed to planning and working toward future goals, and maintaining the high standard of care, service and presentation in our offices to ensure that our clients continue to enjoy their relationship with us in the future.

I started with the ortho practice back in 2003 as a receptionist, taking care of appointments, schedules – you name it! In 2006 I took time off to have my gorgeous baby boy, and now that he’s grown a little I’m back on a causal/part time basis. the ortho practice is such a fun place to work that it was a pleasure to come back and I love being able to work casual/part time hours and still have time to spend with my son. With a toddler, who’s got time for any other interests! I love watching him grow and change every day.
