Dr Theodor Baisi
|
|
Theo completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Master of Dental Science (Orthodontics) from the University of Sydney and worked with the highly respected Orthodontists, Dr J F Reading and Dr D J Bradley. After a number of years, Theo acquired the business and set about developing it further as a practice of excellence and distinction.
In 2001, the ortho practice was born and it continues today with Theo enjoying great results for all patients with his energetic and fun personality. As well as operating this highly regarded private practice, Theo’s devotion to his profession has led him to hold a variety of teaching positions at the University of Sydney. Over the years he has lectured and tutored at both under graduate and post graduate level, maintaining his educator role today as Appointed Lecturer (part-time) Discipline of Orthodontics.
Theo is also an active member of the greater orthodontic community, holding many titles including a number of years as President of the Australian Society of Orthodontists, NSW Branch. He is now the Treasurer of the Australasian Orthodontic Board and Treasurer Elect of the Australian Society of Orthodontists (National).

Dr Caronenchai (Chai) Jankulprasut

Chai completed his training as a Doctor of Dental Science (Honours) at the Prince of Songkla University (Thailand) in 1995, and holds a Master of Dental Science (Orthodontics) from the University of Queensland Dental School (2002).
Chai started his career as a General Dentist at Donsak Public Hospital in Thailand, before becoming General Dentist/Head of Dental Department at Watyannasangwararam Public Hospital and Senior General Dentist at Phyathai Sriracha General Hospital.
Chai’s orthodontic experience spans over a decade. He was a Clinical Orthodontist at the Oral Health Centre at the University of Western Australia from 2002 to 2005, and has been in specialist practice since returning to Sydney in 2006.
In addition to providing treatment, Chai has participated in instructing both undergraduate and postgraduate students in dentistry and dental hygiene. He also contributed to clinical research and the development and implementation of clinical management strategies and programs at the Oral Health Centre at the University of Western Australia.
As well as bringing considerable dental and orthodontic experience to the ortho practice team, Chai is also fluent in Thai, Mandarin, Cantonese and English.

Dr Serina Ma
|
Serina completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Honours) in 2004 and a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Orthodontics) at the University of Sydney in 2012. Her Doctoral research focused on the problematic condition Obstructive Sleep Apnoea and she is keen to specialise in this at the ortho practice.
Serina served as a dentist in the Royal Australian Air Force, having been inducted as a Flight Lieutenant and commanded the dental section at RAAF Tindal in the Northern Territory. Following her military career, she worked with rural indigenous communities in the NT and Bourke, in private practice and as a clinical tutor (part-time) at the University of Sydney in the Oral Dental Surgery Department.
Serina was awarded Fellowship into the Royal Australiasian College of Dental Surgeons in the general dental stream and Membership in the specialist orthodontic stream. She is in the process of completing her certification of the Australian Orthodontic Board in recognition of her high standard of clinical work.
Serina enjoys running and travelling off the beaten track.

Laura Davies
|
Laura joined the ortho practice in November 2012 as Manager. Originally from London, Laura has over 11 years experience in orthodontic practice management. Laura’s career brought her to North Queensland in 2004, and having travelled back and forth between London and Australia over the last eight years, she finally settled in Sydney in 2012. At the ortho practice, Laura is responsible for the day to day management of the practice, people relations and the implementation of operational strategies.
Laura is ‘living the dream’ in Australia, enjoying outdoor activities such as boating, fishing, snorkelling and going to the beach. She also has a passion for cooking and spends most rainy days happily baking in her kitchen.

Lynn Matheson
|
Lynn joined the ortho practice team in February 2009 as a Hygienist. Lynn obtained her Certificate of Dental Therapy from Shellharbour School of Dental Therapy in 1981 and her Diploma of Dental Hygiene from Torrens Valley Institute, South Australia in 1997.
Originally from Wollongong, Lynn spent several years working in various rural areas of NSW as a qualified & dedicated Dental Therapist before working for many years in a busy Orthodontic practice.
Lynn’s interests include swimming, hiking, reading and an avid following of the Australian cricket team. She also has a passion for art, history & travel.

Yvonne Bass

Yvonne joined the ortho practice team in June 2009 in the role of Hygienist. Originally from Canada, Yvonne earned her Diploma in Dental Hygiene from The George Brown College of Applied Art and Technology in Toronto 1993 and completed the Australian Dental Hygiene examination for overseas-trained dental hygienists at Torrens Valley TAFE in South Australia in 2006.
Yvonne has extensive experience in general dentistry and orthodontics, and has worked as a Dental Hygienist in both Australian and international practices.
In her free time, Yvonne loves playing with her son, going for a run and heading to the beach to enjoy surfing, windsurfing and scuba diving. She also loves travelling and exploring new places.

Sabrina Marolho
|
Sabrina re-joined the ortho practice team in January 2013 as a Hygienist, having previously worked with us. After graduating from the University of Newcastle in 2009 with a Bachelor of Oral Health, Sabrina worked for three years as a Hygienist in the Southern Highlands of NSW. Since making the move from her home town of Wollongong to Sydney just two years ago, Sabrina has chosen to continue her career in oral health at the ortho practice.
Sabrina loves spending time with her young daughter, and also enjoys travelling, going to the movies and catching up on her reading.
